Shaun didn’t found PPM ECO because he had a business idea.
He founded it because he got a $400 electric bill — and realized: this isn’t energy. This is extortion.

An engineer by training and a tinkerer by nature, he spent years fixing grid failures for utilities — until he realized: they weren’t broken. They were designed to fail.
So he built his own.
No solar. Just batteries. Time-of-use arbitrage. Three EVs. A pool. A home.
$14/month. Zero grid dependence.

He didn’t just solve his own problem.
He solved the problem for everyone who’s ever been held hostage by the utility.

Today, he leads PPM ECO’s product vision — ensuring every kit is silent, smart, survivable, and simple enough for anyone to use.
He believes energy isn’t a service.
It’s a right.

Luis spent 12 years as a health care professional for one of the largest healthcare providers in Texas —feeling unfulfilled.  He loved the skills of power washing, car washing which evolved into solar cleaning division.  

He saw the same families lose money year after year.
He heard the same complaints, about trying to cut corners.
He saw the same promises broken.

So he wanted to solve the solar industry issues in an accessible manner  

He co-founded PPM ECO’s operations arm to do things right — a combo of FT and subcontractors, no delays, no excuses.
His teams install systems in 3–5 days.
They train homeowners to maintain them.
They show up at 2 a.m. when the storm hits — because when the grid fails, your peace of mind shouldn’t.

He doesn’t manage projects.
He builds resilience as a craft.

Dr. Gonzales isn’t just a CFO.
He’s the Chief Resilience or Renewal Officer — a role he invented. 

Most models assumed the grid would be there.
But in the places that needed us most — it never was.

So he built a new financing model.

I didn’t start in Silicon Valley.
It started in a village in the Philippines — after Typhoon Haiyan tore through it like a god’s wrath.

I watched shanty towns vanish overnight.
I saw families huddled under tarps, holding dying babies because the clinic’s ventilator had no power.
And I saw the generator we had on our compound— the one we had — humming quietly in the distance, powering a single compound while the rest of the community lived in darkness.

That’s when I understood:
This isn’t about storms.
It’s about who gets to survive them.

I didn’t leave my non-profit job imeediately  because I wanted a understanding of the issues and solutions .
I left because I could no longer sit in boardrooms while children in marginalized communities died because the grid didn’t care if they lived.

So I built something else.

I co-founded PPM  and PPM ECO Global to turn energy from a privilege into a promise —
deploying silent, solar-powered microgrids not as charity, but as sovereignty.

We don’t parachute in.
We partner with local cooperatives.
We hire and train women as field technicians — not as volunteers, but as leaders.
We design systems that last through typhoons, floods, and droughts — built by the community, for the community.

In the Philippines, in Haiti, in the Caribbean — we’ve seen what happens when people are given the tools to power themselves.
They don’t ask for help.
They rebuild.
They teach.
They lead.

This isn’t about technology.
It’s about justice.

And I will spend the rest of my life making sure no child ever has to breathe on a car battery again —
because the grid failed.
