At PPM ECO, we believe clean energy shouldn’t just power homes — it should power progress. As a U.S.-based nonprofit with a global heart, we’re committed to advancing energy equity at home and abroad through innovation, inclusion, and investment in people.

For every 4 microgrids or solar kits sold in the United States, we donate 1 complete renewable energy system to a marginalized community internationally — or directly support a women-owned business with solar infrastructure to elevate their work, income, and independence. 

The renewable energy market is booming — especially in high-need, high-opportunity regions:

• Texas leads the U.S. in solar capacity additions (2023), with over 75,000 solar jobs and growing (SEIA).
• Florida ranks #4 nationally in solar installations, projected to add 50,000+ clean energy jobs by 2030.
• Across the Caribbean, 90% of islands face extreme climate risk, and electricity costs average $0.35/kWh — triple the global average (IDB, UNDP).

This demand creates a unique opportunity: to grow sustainably while lifting others as we rise.

Inspired by our Caribbean mission, our goal is to expand our proven models worldwide:

• PPM ECO Cares: For every three kits donated internationally, one goes to a school, clinic, or women-led cooperative.
• PowerForward Microloans: Provide $5K–$50K in financing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in underserved communities — repaid through energy savings, creating self-sustaining cycles of growth.
• Partnering with local co-ops, like Waitukubuli Energy in Dominica, where solar microgrids maintained 100% uptime during hurricanes, saved $18,000/year in diesel, and created 12 local jobs. (Case Study)

We're scaling this model across SIDS (Small Island Developing States), targeting 30 communities by 2030.

Energy transition starts with people. That’s why we invest in human potential:

• Launching the PPM ECO Academy in partnership with the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT), University of the West Indies (UWI), and technical schools in Cuba and Jamaica.
• Training 300+ technicians by 2028, prioritizing oil & gas workers transitioning to clean energy.
• Women in Energy Program: Ensuring 30% female participation in training programs by 2027 — because equity powers better grids.
• Offering international scholarships for youth from energy-vulnerable communities to study renewable technologies.

In states like Texas and Florida, where climate vulnerability meets rapid solar expansion, we partner with:

• Community colleges and HBCUs to develop certified solar technician training programs.
• Local governments and workforce boards to place graduates in high-paying, future-proof jobs in installation, maintenance, and microgrid management.
• Creating pathways to upward mobility for low-income students, veterans, and historically excluded groups.
